The M S & E department offers a minor in Materials Science and Engineering for students studying towards a Ph.D. in other disciplines. The doctoral minor consists of at least 9 credits (typically 3 courses) of M S & E courses. Within those nine credits, 6 must be at the 400 level or above, and 3 must be at the 700 level or above. Students must earn a B or higher in every course.
