Graduate students in other fields who desire to elect anthropology as a minor subject should contact the chair of the department. As a rule, prior preparation must equal 12 credits in social sciences, of which two should be in anthropology unless the area of concentration is to be a non-cultural field. Four courses must be taken, with the program of courses arranged to provide either
- a general coverage of the field, or
- concentration in biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, or archaeology.
Successful completion of the course program will satisfy the minor requirement.
